As a recognized center of excellence, we combine direct care with cutting-edge research, including NIH-funded studies on Kaposi’s Sarcoma outcomes, validation projects with King’s College London, and MRC Global Mental Health initiatives focusing on young carers in Zimbabwe. BLENDING TRADITIONAL MEDICINE WITH PALLIATIVE CARE After palliative care training by Island Hospice in 2023, I now combine traditional medicine with modern practices like blood pressure checks and pain management. This integration has improved patient comfort, respected cultural and spiritual needs, and equipped me to also train caregivers in basic care. I am grateful to Island Hospice for enhancing my practice and the quality of life of my patients.
